In the process of using FonePaw Android Data Recovery, you can choose either Standard Scan or Deep Scan to scan and then recover lost files or data. But many people are not sure about the differences between these two modes. Simply put, you can look at the table below to learn about it:
Standard Scan | Deep Scan | |
Scanning Range | Deleted photos and the existing files | Byte-by-byte disk scanning |
Scanning Time | Short | Long |
Root or Not? | Not required | Required |
Amount of Recovered Data | Less | Much more |
By default, when you first use the program and begin to scan the deleted files, the program will automatically proceed with a Standard Scan for you.
If you cannot find the deleted files you need after the quick scan, you can choose to click the Deep Scan button at the bottom right to start a Deep Scan to search for more lost files.
Usually, a Standard Scan takes just a few minutes, and Deep Scan may last half an hour or even more.
